Life, ohhh life, ohhh li-i-i-i-ife, oh life.

But yes, life. Sometimes things take over that are bigger than even the things you consider the biggest things usually. Things. Yes. So it may have been a quiet few months from Stephens HQ, but thats not the plan as of NOW.

Having lived in Cardiff for a few months, busking through freezing blue-fingered winter months, and running completely out of money due to a lack of employment, I am living in Somerset again for now, until I exit my good friend, the overdraft, at least.

Things (theres that word again) have been happening, and life’s been stressful, and its been relatively quiet for myself on the music front. I have been trying to get some interest together for people to contribute to my other blog on Tumblr here, ‘YouTune’ (www.youtuneblog.com), but in terms of gigging and the like its been difficult, partially due to being back in Somerset, with even the semi-respectable venues in Taunton and the like being closed down. It feels like such an un-artistic place, but I suppose the reality is that with a smaller population, even if the percentage interested in music and art is the same, thats a much smaller number of people than in the city, to try and keep any venue / institute in business.

I guess its led me to a very DIY mindset, and I’d like the blog to kick on too, so please follow that.

It looks very much like, having spoken to Mr. Joseph Alexander Rex Buckler, he may be picking up his double bass for me once again and sitting at his very nice large desk for another EP, or maybe even an album. I’ve a collection of songs from pre-Cardiff that were ready to be an EP, and I’ve started work on a fresh batch. And although they sound in place together, they feel like separate entities to me. So I’m not sure how to get through that, but the bottom line is, for you, for business, and most importantly for me, it looks like more music is on its way, and I think it could potentially be very good.
