‘Bolted Doors’

I have flu… again. Full blown I’m a-shakin’ an’ a-shiverin’ flu. This should be gone within the 2 weeks before my next gig I’m sure! Its improved a little over the last day or 2, but I still have no idea where this sudden illness trend has come from, I haven’t been ill in years. BRILLIANT timing world. Cheers.

So at home resting up in bed for a few days means that when I feel a little better I’m gonna attempt writing some music in the style of Thom Yorke’s ‘The Eraser’ album.

Whether it will actually turn out too much like this, I’m not sure. I’m not trying to make it so it does - its just that a) my good friend Mary (milkandwhiskers here on tumblr) linked me to the song Thom Yorke did for the New Moon film (good song, bad cause), and it left me feeling inspired. and b) I’m ill, and have only a laptop at my fingertips. This isn’t intended to be a long term project in the slightest, just an experiment!

Anyway, this audio post here is of the only thing that comes even CLOSE to how this new song / songs may end up sounding, because its the only time I used no real instruments (other than the voice clearly), using preset sounds / making my own on Logic (music software). Its about one and half years old I believe, never been played live or done anything with it, its very cheesy, very badly mixed… But again, just filling in the gaps. ;)
