This is the low res photo booth - flip - grab - itunes - grab photo of the cover of a CD by local vocalist and writer Pete The Poet.
Pete was the teacher at the local school who I worked with when I did some work experience and taught the kids guitar and ukulele there. Pete also performs at local open mic nights, and a few weeks back I agreed to compose some guitar accompaniment and arrange some of his poems in to performances.
Its a pretty different thing than any songwriting I’ve done before this. Its more word-painting, working behind the lyrics rather than with them. Some of the tracks are just rhythmic chord strumming, but on the others there are some more reflective, delicate picked things; so if you are interested (especially Somerset-dwellers who may have heard Pete before), the 6-track CD Pete The Poet, which was recorded at Bulrush Studios in Minehead one morning in October, are available from Pete. If you want to find out more visit him online here.
